When Eric Janszen left Midlothian High School to come to Italy last year, he knew it was time for a change. He had taught Agriculture for 15 years there and knew he had done everything he could to do to be successful there.

Mrs. Velasco joined the Italy HS faculty this year.

Mrs. Wiser is a graduate of Italy HS. She joined the IJH faculty this year in the CBI department.

Mr. Neal has worked for Italy HS for three years.

Mrs. Smith joined the IHS faculty this year.

Mrs. Thompson has been a teacher at Italy JH for three years. She taught junior high math two years and moved to CBI this year.

Mrs. Chambers, a graduate of Italy High School, joined the faculty at Italy Junior High this year.

Ms. Moreland has been part of the IHS faculty for 42 years. She has encouraged students in and out of class. She has worked countless hours to make IHS Gladiators shine.

Andi Windham, a graduate of Italy HS, returned to teach here. She serves as English department head and has been a positive contributor to the learning environment at IHS for several years.

Bobby Campbell teaches JH classes and coaches for both JH and HS sports in Italy ISD.

Miss Fullmer teaches 7th and 8th grade history and coaches girls basketball and track.

Mr. Berry teaches history for Italy Junior High & High School.

Mr. Proud teaches history and coaches both JH and HS sports for Italy ISD.

Mr. Papa teaches Spanish levels 1-3 and coaches tennis for Italy HS.

Johnny Jones assists in content mastery and coaches for Italy JH and HS.

Mrs. Richards stays busy teaching multiple English subjects—including ESL—and leading Content Mastery. She also coaches for Italy JH & HS.

Mrs. Joffre serves as the Italy Junior High & High School librarian.

Miss Vajdak teaches several classes including some career educational classes as well as agricultural education classes.

Mrs. De La Hoya began working full time for Italy ISD this year. She assists in the special education department.

Blake Godwin, department chair for the Career And Technology Education courses at Italy ISD has been part of Italy for the last three years.

Mrs. Eaglen, a second year employee of Italy ISD, is working hard to make the yearbook a success this year and is gearing up to take 9 students to FCCLA state competition.

Jeremiah Glover, Italy HS’s art teacher has worked hard to build on the art program that was in place when he arrived. In addition to teaching his art courses, Mr. Glover has taken and shared many event photos throughout the year.

David Graves has been part of Italy ISD for the past two years. He is part of an award winning band program and stays busy with several other responsibilities as well.

Jesus Perez challenges band students to go beyond their current abilities to develop into great musicians. Their ratings collectively show the work both Mr. Perez, his assistant director, and his students have done.

Lee Guidry teaches several subjects at Italy JH and enjoys engaging students in learning.

Jon Cady teaches JH and coaches for both JH and HS sports in Italy ISD.

Holly Bradley, an Italy HS graduate, now teaches and coaches at Italy HS.

Casey Holden, an Italy graduate herself, leads the math department for Italy JHS/HS. Her students brag on her ability to teach math even to those who struggle. She is always helpful to any student who needs math assistance—during and outside of school.

Meet Kelli Ballard, receptionist at Italy JHS/HS, Kelli is an Italy HS graduate; her three children currently attend Italy ISD. She is glad to answer any questions you may have regarding school business. If she doesn’t know the answer, she’ll find someone who does.

Angela Muirhead, Italy High’s campus secretary, makes sure the campus stays on track daily. She is here to serve administration, teachers, and students, and is glad to help any way she can.

Erica Miller, the counselor at Italy JHS/HS, wears many hats. From counseling to scheduling to coordinating many events, her determination to do her job well shows. She enjoys working with students and putting them on a track for success.

Lee Joffre, Italy’s secondary campus principal, is serving his fourth year as a Gladiator. He enjoys working with his staff and students whether it’s academically or supporting their extra-curricular activities.
