Christmas at Trinity Mission
Ho! Ho! Ho! That is what Santa said when he visited Trinity Mission for the residents’ Christmas celebration. And what a celebration it was! The staff out did themselves as usual, but this time they went all out. They put on a talent show that could not be beat!
First off they had the therapy department along with a couple of residents singing their version of “The Twelve Days of Therapy.” They were doing chin tucks, and leg lifts, leg loops and many more therapy exercises to the tune of The Twelve Days of Christmas.
Next up were the “Grapevine Group” singing and dancing to, I Heard it Through the Grapevine. Complete in ‘grape’ attire, Trinity Mission staff members danced their hearts out to the delight of the residents and family members.
Barry Wilsford once again was on hand to sing Christmas songs such as, What if Cartoons got Saved, I’ll Have a Blue Christmas Without You, and Here Comes Santa Claus. And of course Barry with his beautiful voice brought a lot of Christmas cheer to everyone there.
The “Can Can Girls,” of Trinity Mission, were up next sashaying their way to the front of the dinning room with leg kicks you just had to see to believe! With laughter and legs high in the air the audience was entertained to the hilt.
And last but not least several “elves” started handing out the many, many gifts that were under the ‘“Angel tree.” So many gifts and so many smiles for the residents. Our little town of Italy and family members of the residents out did themselves and helped supply the ’Angels’ with many, many presents.
Marie Wood (administrator) left everyone with these words, “We had a great celebration today with presents and lots of fun. But we remember that Jesus, the son of God gave his life for us and that is why we celebrate his birth.”
Another great day at Trinity Mission. Merry Christmas Everyone!
