Hormel Foods Corporation and Brookshire Grocery Co. are donating $100,000 in Hormel Cure 81 half hams to food banks throughout BGC’s market area to help feed people in need this holiday season.
The Italy Food Pantry received a very special donation on Monday of this week. Annabelle Glover and her family delivered a table full of groceries to the local food pantry.
The Stafford Student council, under the direction of Maggie Westrick and Kim Varner, organized a food drive for the Italy Food Pantry during October and November.

Our first experience with the North Texas Food Bank mobile produce truck was a resounding success, and the volunteers were incredibly generous with their time and energy. Loving attitudes and helping hands were everywhere and everyone who wanted fresh produce went home with a full bag of apples, limes, potatoes, green beans, broccoli and zucchini. Over 100 local families were served on the Wednesday produce giveaway!
The Italy Food Pantry wishes to thank everyone involved in making the Thanksgiving Food Pantry a HUGE SUCCESS for our families in Italy who needed assistance this year.
The Italy Food Pantry wishes to thank the Italy High School National Honor Society for collecting approximately 100 lbs of canned food at their Induction Ceremony on May 22.
The Italy Food Pantry will now be open on the first and third Monday of each month.
In order to re-organize and re-stock, the Italy Food Pantry will be closed for the month of January. The Pantry will open again on Monday, February 3rd at 5:00pm.
The Italy Ministerial Food Pantry volunteers will deliver food baskets on Saturday, December 21, 2013.
