Plans for the IHS Athletic Banquet will be finalized in a meeting scheduled for 5:30 on Monday, May 24th. The Italy Athletic Booster Club appreciates everyone’s help in planning for this momentous event for our Gladiators and Lady Gladiators.

There will be a brief planning session for the 2010 IHS Athletic Banquet today, Thursday, April 22nd. The committee needs your help to ensure that the Gladiators and Lady Gladiators have the banquet they deserve. Please attend this meeting and lend a hand. The meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will be over well before the JV baseball game that will begin at 6:30 p.m. Your help is greatly appreciated.
There will be an IHS Athletic Banquet planning session on Thursday, April 15 in the Italy High School Library beginning at 6:00 p.m. All interested in the success of the banquet is asked to attend. Parent involvement is hugely necessary and greatly appreciated.
Changes within the law now requires Booster Clubs to separate from their ISD’s umbrella. These requirements and guidelines with be discussed at the meeting Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the Italy High School Library. It is imperative that there be more parent involvement in order to keep the Booster Club moving forward.
The Italy Athletic Booster Club will meet on Thursday, March 25 at the Italy High School Library. Meeting time is 6:30. Due to recent changes in the relationship with the Italy Athletic Booster Club and the Italy ISD there are major decisions that must be made at this meeting. All those interested in the role that the Italy Booster Club plays in support of the school and the athletes needs to be in attendance of this meeting.
The Italy Athletic Booster Club will meet tonight, February 8 at 7:00 p.m., in the Italy High School cafeteria. The athletic scholarship awards will be the primary docket item for the meeting. Anyone and everyone wishing to help the booster club support the athletic programs at Italy High School is welcome to attend.
The Italy Athletic Booster Club will meet tonight, January 25 @ 7:00pm in the Italy High School Library. Agenda items include discussion regarding the recent purchase of an ice machine that will be installed in the Dome within the next few days. Also, athletic scholarships, distribution of funds regarding basketball concessions, concessions at baseball and softball games and the year end athletic banquet will be discussed. Please make time this evening to attend and help support the athletic program at Italy High School.
There will be a booster club meeting on Tuesday, December 1st at 7pm in the High School Cafeteria. All supporters of Italy High School/Jr High School Athletics are urged to attend.
On Tuesday, October 13, immediately following the Italy High School/Jr High Parent meeting, the Italy Athletic Booster Club will meet. Coach Craig Bales, Italy ISD Athletic Director will speak at the meeting. Parents/Guardians who have interest in Italy ISD athletic programs are asked to attend.
On Tuesday night, at the conclusion of the parent meeting with Ms. Parker, the new principal at Italy High School, the Athletic Booster Club past president, Becky Milligan, addressed the parents, “If you are a parent of an athlete or support Italy athletics, we invite you to join the Booster Club. The club has new fundraising ideas and we want to build a program that will keep building.”
There will be a booster club meeting on Monday, August 10th at 7PM in the High School Cafeteria. This will be a planning and informational meeting. Football and Volleyball season is upon us and we will be gearing up for Homecoming, T-shirt sales, and new fund raising ideas.
What a year! Italy High School’s complex collaboration between students, teachers, coaches, general staff, the Booster Club, administration and School Board members have executed a successful and exciting 2008-2009 school year. And to celebrate their sports accomplishments, the athletic banquet will be held inside the Italy Coliseum (the dome) on May 21 at 7:00 p.m.
The Athletic Banquet is fast approaching. We are asking that anyone who can, please contribute a dessert for our dinner that evening. The Italy Athletic Booster Club will be holding a meeting on Tuesday, May 5th at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Cafeteria Wayne Boze Building, downtown Italy. This meeting had been originally scheduled for Monday but due to the baseball/softball playoff schedules, was forced to change the date. The primary focus of this meeting will be the Athletic Banquet.
Italy Athletic Booster Club President, Becky Milligan, has been enthused about IHS Baseball for many years. After all, son, Josh who is a junior, has been playing Varsity since his 9th grade year. However, she has seen the need for financial support for the team by local residents and merchants for some time and last year implemented the sale of fence signs for the club.
On Monday, April 13 at 7:00 pm the Italy Athletic Booster Club will meet in the IHS library. The meeting is to discuss the upcoming athletic banquet which is scheduled for May 21 and to seek volunteers who are interested in helping. Everyone may attend.
The Italy Band Boosters will meet in the band hall at 7:00 on Tuesday, December 2nd. They will be covering the fundraising success, band trip and the spring calendar. All are invited to attend.
If you were at the IHS football game on Friday night, you saw old friends and the hustle and bustle of activities. Some even may have won a prize.

Thursday night saw the Italy JV Gladiators duel the Chilton Pirates at Willis Field in Italy. At halftime, the Italy Athletic Booster Club drew Gregg Richards’ name as the recipient of the vintage jersey give-away (a jersey used in 2001). Mr. Richards was not on hand to receive his new “old” jersey but his granddaughters Megan and Alyssa Richards were happy to receive the gift. Ivan Roldan, Italy Varsity Football player, was on hand to present it to the girls.
The Italy Athletic Booster club is an organization that provides services for high school and junior high school athletes. They do many fundraisers to help the athletes with whatever they may need. Their primary focus is on raising funds for athletic scholarships. “We were able to give out eight $1,000 scholarships last year,” stated Becky Milligan, booster club president. “We usually are able to give out one or two $300 to $500 scholarships. We did a lot of work on it last year. We formed a scholarship committee to work on different fundraisers.”
