Bring your smoker! The Italy Lions Club will host a BBQ Cook Off on February 27th & 28th at Upchurch Ball Park. BBQ plate lunches will be also sold. All proceeds from the plate lunches will benefit the Lions Club Scholarship Program.
Italy’s Lions Club honored Mark Souder with a Lion’s Club “dedicated service” plaque. This was presented to Mark in appreciation of his outstanding dedicated service and exceptional leadership as president of the Lions Club for two years.
Saturday morning around 8:00 AM, Italy Lions Club members were scurrying around the Wayne Boze building, whipping up the best pancake breakfast ever.
Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., it was Bingo night at Trinity Mission. The halls were crowded with residents waiting to get in the dining hall to play Bingo. They were ready to play.
Saturday, October 11, the Lions Club of Italy held a bake sale to raise money for a scholarship fund for Italy ISD.

Wednesday, September 24, Italy Lions Club members along with some members from the Dallas Lions Club were giving free eye exams and free glasses to children that needed them. They were set up at Stafford Elementary and were serving children from Milford, Italy and Avalon.
I have had the privilege to serve in the Italy Lions Club for the past three years. My first year I served as the Tail twister then, as the Vice President and, currently I serve as President. It has been one of my best experiences serving under Mark Souder during this time. Our guiding Lions Club of Waxahachie has been most helpful in getting this club reestablished.
