Italian Christmas Festival Postponed

We have rescheduled the Festival & Parade due to the impending weather tomorrow. The new date is next Saturday, December 10th. Attached is the public notice that will be announced by KBEC with all the information.

An Italian Christmas set for December 3, 2016

The Italy Community Activities Committee met on September 13, 2016 to make decisions regarding the upcoming Homecoming Parade and Italian Festival. They voted to cancel the Italian Festival scheduled for October 15, 2016 and combine it with the traditional Christmas festivities held on the first Saturday in December.

Italy’s Annual Cinco De Mayo Fiesta Celebration-Friday, May 6

The Cinco De Mayo fiesta celebration will be Friday, May 6th, 2016 from 6:00pm until 10:00pm. Vendor booths will be located at the Cargill-Gallman Pavilion, downtown Italy. Vendor forms for booths need to be turned in by May 2nd to get a good spot but we will still allow late comers.

Italy Main Street Market Community Wide Garage Sale—Saturday, October 24, 2015

[Sadly, was rained out]…….Italy will once again have the Italy Main Street Market & Community Wide Garage Sale on Saturday, October 24, 2015. The focal point of this event will be an opportunity for community members in and around Italy to set up mini-garage sale booths in Italy’s downtown Pavilion. Citizens are urged to have garage sales at their home as well. It will be a great opportunity for you to clean out a closet or two as well as finding your next piece for that DIY Pinterest project you have been wanting to do.

City of Italy honors Altha McNeely

Image: The City of Italy honored local resident, Altha McNeely, on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the annual Christmas parade and festival. Mrs. McNeely was chosen as this year’s Grand Marshall for the Christmas parade and Mayor James Hobbs presented her with a Key to the City and proclaimed December 6, 2014 Altha McNeely Day. She was also the named Citizen of the Month.

The City of Italy honored local resident, Altha McNeely, on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the annual Christmas parade and festival. Altha moved to Italy when she was in the 4th grade. She is a long time member of First Baptist Church.

Italy Community Activities Committee work session planned

The Community Activities Committee would like to invite anyone who would like to help stuff Easter Eggs this evening. They will begin at 5:30 pm at the Boze Community Center and stuff Easter Eggs until we run out of candy or fill all the eggs. They greatly appreciate the participation our community has given to the events. Thank you City of Italy!!!
