Living and sharing Christ’s love is the message that the members and staff of Central Baptist Church in Italy would like to share with those in the community. Pastor Todd Gray and the Central family would also like to extend a special invitation to the community to visit, worship and fellowship with them.

First United Methodist Church of Italy hosted a chili supper fundraiser on Saturday night and also took the opportunity to introduce the interim pastor for the church to the community. Rev. Eric and Donna Smith, recently moved to Italy from San Antonio, also enjoyed a bowl of homemade red.

Valentine’s Chili Supper

Romance is in the air. It’s not too long before Valentine’s Day is here and you’ll want to do something fun with your sweetheart. Hearts, flowers, poetry and sweet nothings in your ear and, of course, a steaming bowl of “red.”

Poinsettias for Sale

The First Baptist Church youth group is taking orders for Poinsettias. This fundraiser will be raising money for the youth to go to camp. The camp is held at Three Mountains Retreat in Clifton, TX.

Last 5th Quarter For The Year

Friday night was the last night for 5th Quarter at Cornerstone on Main Street in Italy. Kids from 7th-12th grade were invited to participate in food and fun, that included a special guest.

Lord’s Acre sale

On Saturday, the First United Methodist Church of Italy hosted a Lord’s Acre sale. There were carnival games and prizes, Sponge Bob bounce house, hot dogs and fresh popcorn, a BBQ dinner and an auction.

Friday evening, October 31 at 6:30 p.m., all the fun began at First Baptist Church of Italy with their Fall Festival.

Todd Gray called to Central Baptist Church of Italy

Sunday, October 26, 2008, was exciting for Central Baptist Church of Italy, as the Church called Todd Gray to be its new pastor. Todd and his wife, Tammy, are coming to CBC from San Antonio, where for the last two years he was the pastor of Larkspur Christian Fellowship and also taught senior adult Sunday School for Churchill Baptist.

A fun thing to do with the kids

“Sundaes for Sunday” is held once a month at the First United Methodist Church in Italy and everyone is invited. Here is a fun craft to do with the kids.

Sunday night Praise

Central Baptist Church is hosting a Praise and Worship service every Sunday night at 7:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone on Main Street in Italy. Young and young at heart are encouraged to attend and worship with the praise band. Anyone in the community is invited and encouraged to attend.

With only three months until December, you might want to put some of your energies toward Christmas. Yes, shopping is one way, but think about having fun in a live drama about Christ. Bethlehem Revisited is fun to watch and a blast to participate in this story from out of the past.
