First Baptist Church of Italy is setting sail for Vacation Bible School fun on the HIGH SEAS! Kids will feel the sea spray on their face as sails snap overhead. On Saturday, June 5, the Union Missionary Baptist Church will be sponsoring a Daddy-Daughter Dance. This formal dance will be held at the Italy High School beginning at 7:00pm. A new ranch is coming to Italy and it is exclusively for kindergarten through 6th grade age children. Central Baptist Church is hosting Saddle Ridge Ranch, this year’s Vacation Bible School. The Royal Ambassadors of Central Baptist Church enjoyed a night of fellowship, fun and friendly competition at the annual R.A. Racers event on April 14, 2010. A total of 18 cars were entered in the race and there were approximately 75 people in attendance to cheer for their favorite car.

The Royal Ambassadors and their leaders from Central Baptist Church in Italy, Texas, are getting ready to pack another “Bucket of Hope” for Haiti earthquake victims. After filling the buckets, the RAs prayed for the people who would receive the food as well as for the safety of those responsible for transporting and delivering them.
Earlier in the year, the Italy Ministerial Alliance voted unanimously that the local food pantry be called the William Youngblood Food Pantry. The plaque was ordered and delivered. Officially, the sign hangs above the pantry door for all to see.

Senior students from Italy High School enjoyed Mexican pile-ons at Central Baptist on Thursday. The graduates practiced for graduation and then made a bee-line for lunch. This is a tradition with the church and this year is no exception.
The Italy High School seniors and Principal Scott Herald spent a pleasurable evening at Union Baptist Church of Italy on Wednesday night. The church hosted a hot dog supper in their beautiful fellowship hall and the students appreciated a message from the pastor.
The Italy Church of Christ hosted a luncheon on Wednesday for the graduating seniors of IHS. Brother Walter Buchanan of Italy Church of Christ and his congregation invited the students for hot dogs and melt-in-your mouth homemade cookies. The seniors obliged their hosts and enjoyed their meal.

On Sunday, April 19, 2009, the Kayrene Uehlinger Scholarship was presented to Tyler Boyd during the morning worship at Central Baptist Church in Italy. This is the second year that the Class of 1968 has made the presentation.

Everyone is invited to participate in this event. Pastor Todd Gray from Central Baptist Church will provide the message. Mt. Gilead will provide special music and a breakfast brunch afterwards.
The youth group of Central Baptist Church of Italy and the youth group of First Baptist Church of Milford joined together and participated in the “Discipleship Now” program (this program teaches youth how to grow in Christ) and had quite an adventure over this past weekend.

The GMA (Girls Missionary Auxiliary) group from First Baptist Italy took a trip to Gary, Texas this past weekend to attend the State GMA house party at Daniel Springs Baptist Encampment.
Just because it’s Spring Break, that doesn’t mean certain people are slacking. Some youth of Central Baptist Church and youth director, Chris Talleri, volunteered their time to help with food distribution at the local food pantry on Monday.
