A great time to be a Gladiator

Twenty years ago the Italy Gladiator basketball team won state. Their legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of each of the athletes, coaches and Italy Gladiator fans. This year the Gladiators wanted to repeat what the 1997 team had done and worked hard to achieve that goal.

Enjoy BBQ sandwiches during the games Friday, January 27

Italy Track and field will be selling BBQ sandwiches this Friday January 27th from 4:00 – 8:30pm in the high school Dome. The cost is $5.00 per plate which includes sandwich, chips, and drink. Any donations are welcome and appreciated. Please come out and support Italy Gladiators Track and Field while enjoying our JV and Varsity basketball games against Itasca.

Gladiator Football 2016 All-District List

Several Italy Gladiators receive All-District recognition among 2016 2A-1 Region II District 8 voting with junior Clay Riddle earning 1st Team both ways. Seniors Kevin Johnson and David De La Hoya also earned 1st Team honors on offense after the Gladiators made playoffs for a second consecutive season.

2016 Volleyball All-District; IHS: Lusk Co-Offensive MVP, Richards Defensive MVP

Image: Lady Gladiator senior #7 April Lusk earned Co-Offensive MVP honors in Region 2 ~ District 12-2A during Italy’s 2016 campaign.

Italy’s Lady Gladiators were well represented among the 2016 Region 2 ~ District 12-2A All-District Volleyball Award honorees. Senior April Lusk was named Co-Offensive MVP and junior teammate Brycelen Richards was named Defensive MVP. Outstanding Blocker went to junior Annie Perry and Outstanding Libero went to sophomore Karley Nelson.
