Midnight Madness at Italy High School was fun for all as the Gladiators and Lady Gladiators get an early edge on their competition.

Italy Gladiator Athletics hosts “Midnight Madness”. Enjoy a watermelon social, watch a movie outside and support the athletes as they have a midnight workout followed by a pancake breakfast for all!

The IYAA is having its last Football Signups on Saturday, August 4 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Upchurch Ballpark in Italy. Practice starts Monday, August 6!

Dale Hansen was joined by cheerleaders and mascots at Stuart B. Lumpkins Stadium in Waxahachie to shoot the first commercial for the inaugural “2012 Dale Hansen Football Classic.”

The application for the Dale Hansen Football Classic academic scholarship has been released and ready for eligible senior boys and girls to complete. One Italy High School senior boy and one Italy High School senior girl will be awarded anywhere from $500 to $1,000 towards college expense. 

Gladiator fans are invited to the inaugural Dale Hansen Football Classic official website and Facebook page promoting the Friday, September 7, through Saturday, September 8 games at Stuart B. Lumpkins Stadium in Waxahachie.

The Italy Gladiators rely on their depth to win all three 7-on-7 matchups during a four-town scrimmage in Axtell this past Thursday.

The Classic will take place September 7-8, 2012 in the new state-of-the-art Stuart B. Lumpkins Stadium in Waxahachie, Texas. The 9,500 seat facility features excellent viewing capabilities from all locations, a champion style artificial playing surface, and a spacious, three-level, 6,000 square foot press box.

BUFFALO — The Italy Gladiators, who finished 4-1 in district and 7-4 overall, where the underdogs going into last Friday’s bi-district playoff game against the Franklin Lions. For the first three-quarters, however, it was anyone’s game as Italy stood cleat to paw with the Lions in a fast-paced high scoring contest.

The 2011 NESA Superbowl will be held Ferris this Saturday. The 2nd seeded IYAA C-Team Gladiators (K-2nd grades) will represent Italy in a championship matchup against the 1st seeded undefeated Ferris Yellow Jackets.

The Italy Gladiators practiced on the turf field at Ennis High School this week to get a feel for the turf field recently installed at Buffalo’s stadium in preparation for their bi-district game against the Franklin Lions.

The IHS pep-rally and bonfire behind the Gladiator field house on Thursday celebrated the upcoming bi-district playoff matchup against the Franklin Lions.

The 2011 NESA Playoffs will be hosted by the IYAA on Saturday, November 12, at Willis Field in Italy. There will be 6 games played in total with the first game, between the Ferris and Blooming Grove C-teams, kicking off the post-season at 9:00 a.m.

Celebrating Senior Night, the Italy Gladiators remain unbeaten in district play after defeating the Axtell Longhorns, 36-26. One game remains to decide the district championship, Italy versus Centerville this Friday night in Centerville.
